Dear SDJA lower school families, staff and students,
Welcome to another school year! It is a pleasure and an honor to serve as your GMLS PTO president. I am truly excited to be working with the following people who will be sharing their time, experiences, and skills with our community:
GMLS PTO 2019-2020
Vice Chair: Nic Dial
Communications: Jessica Pollak
Social Chair: Gabrielle Hazan and Shira Jacobs
Judaic Chair: Sarah Gimbel
Room Parents: Kelly Gros (KA), Tamara Amiram (KB), Joanna Dubbeldam and Bri Hewitson (KC), Sarit Ashtam and Trish Shaw (1A/1B), Lidor Shuster and Jaime Feder (2A/2B), Nadene Zack and Vanessa Wellman (3A/3B), Tammy Mizrachi and Judy Bird (4A/4B), and Cindy Friedman and Trisha Handler (5A/5B).
As the parent of two students at SDJA I have been a witness to immeasurable growth, both academically and personally, that develops within our students. Much of our students’ experiences and successes as learners are influenced by how much the parents get involved. In the following months I encourage all of our parents to do the following:
Volunteer for a school activity and invite a new parent to join you.
Participate in events around school and introduce yourself to someone you don’t know.
Read our PTO emails and attend grade level activities.
And, if you want to get more involved or have ideas to share please contact your room parent.
We look forward to seeing you at our events and activities during the school year as we build upon our great SDJA community!
