Last week the 7th grade class traveled to Hess Kramer Camp in Malibu for the EXCSEL retreat. This event is the opening EXCSEL activity of the year for the 7th grade. While in Malibu, the class participated in a very robust program of activities and challenges that are designed to build empathy, leadership, and perseverance.
Designed and led by Nicole Trotta, the EXCSEL retreat is meant to be intellectually and physically challenging. From navigated the high ropes course, constructing boats, to participating in arts projects, the students learned about themselves, their peers and bonded as a group.
Thank you Ms. Trotta, Rabbi Rock, and Ms. Primosher for leading this extraordinary experience for our 7th grade students.
