SDJA Alum Visits Campus

Adam Sobel (class of ‘06) returned to campus recently to speak to our upper school science students. Adam is a PhD candidate and conducting research in the Reza Ghadiri’s lab at the Scripps Research Institute. His research focus is on trying to remodel the gut microbiome using small molecule therapeutics, to positively affect the progression of diseases such as atherosclerosis. The project spans molecule design, in vitro screening, in vivo models, and bioinformatics.
