UCSD graduate students visited SDJA recently as part of the Neuroscience Outreach Program, to run brain labs with the Anatomy, AP Psychology, and AP Biology science classes). The Neuroscience graduate students launched this Neuroscience Outreach Program to share their knowledge of the brain and neuroscience research within San Diego. The UCSD students brought all different types of brains, ranging from turtles, monkeys, dolphins, sheep, humans, and many more. The SDJA students were not only able to study and learn about the differences in each of the brains, but were also able to hold and work with sheep brains. It was a great experiential education opportunity for our students to learn about brains in a very hands-on approach with graduate students studying in the neuroscience discipline.
