Mrs. King accepted to Harvard

It’s college acceptance season, but why should our seniors have all the fun? Recently, Mrs. King was accepted to the very selective Harvard Graduate School of Education’s “Leadership: An Evolving Vision” intensive course this summer. Additionally, she received a full ride scholarship from the Avi Chai Foundation.

Leadership: An Evolving Vision is an intensive course that provides experienced school leaders with an opportunity to reflect, stretch, and strengthen their leadership skills. Participants examine challenges to raising student achievement and work with experts in school leadership to master effective strategies for building successful schools.

In conjunction with the Harvard course, Avi Chai has developed a year-long program in which Mrs. King will participate. It is designed to help day school leaders apply their learning from Harvard and improve their students’ learning and Jewish experiences. This will involve executing a significant Jewish mission/vision project at the school during the 2018-19 school year. Mrs. King is excited and honored to be accepted and to represent SDJA at Harvard this summer.
