For the first time ever, San Diego Jewish Academy is hosting a FIRST Tech Challenge Robotics Competition. On February 11th, SDJA Robotics is hosting and competing in the San Diego Regional Euclid League Championships.
FIRST Tech Challenge teams (10+ members, grades 7-12) are challenged to design, build, program, and operate robots to compete in a head-to-head challenge in an alliance format. Participants call it “the hardest fun you’ll ever have!” Guided by adult Coaches and Mentors, students develop STEM skills and practice engineering principles (like keeping an engineering notebook), while realizing the value of hard work, innovation, and sharing ideas. The SDJA team is mentored by Patrick Hagarman and over the past years have traveled to Los Angeles to compete. With approximately 200 students from the San Diego area participating, this is a very exciting opportunity for SDJA to host an event of this caliber.
If you are interested in volunteering for the competition, please be in touch with Patrick Hagarman at email@example.com.
