San Diego Jewish Academy introduces its new Guardian Project — a transformational program securing SDJA’s endowment and safeguarding our school’s future for generations to come.
After years of development, the pilot project was finally introduced this past spring, and thanks to the incredible leadership of an anonymous donor, we have established our first cohort of Guardians who have collectively secured $14.5M to support SDJA’s endowment.
Through this ground-breaking approach to planned giving, our cohort donor was able to leverage their $1M gift into $14.5M to support SDJA’s endowment via life insurance policies, thanks to our generous cohort supporters.
On behalf of the entire SDJA community, we would like to thank and recognize our inaugural cohort of donors and supporters for making this incredible dream a reality for SDJA and our students:
Larry and Janet Acheatel
Jaime and Karen Breziner
Harold z”l and Avrille Copans
Walter and Pam Ferris
Robert and Jessica Fink
Chaim and Michal Heller
Richard and Ann Jaffe
Gary and Cheryl Levitt
Martin and Beverley Pamensky
Eric Weisman and Susan Chortek-Weisman
Here are a few testimonials that we’ve received from our generous supporters:
“We chose to participate in this program as a way to thank SDJA for the tremendous impact they had on our son, and to ensure they have the ability to impact others for years to come.” — Walter & Pam Ferris
“This program is ensuring that SDJA is a vibrant part of San Diego Jewish life and learning for years to come.” — Chaim & Michal Heller
“We are honored to be Guardians of SDJA! Jewish education is one of our core values and we are thrilled to be part of a greater effort to ensure the sustainability of Jewish education in our community.” —Martin & Beverley Pamensky
The Guardian Project is one of the major pillars of SDJA’s long-term endowment plan focused on the sustainability of our incredible school. We could not be more grateful to our cohort donors and supporters for their tremendous commitment to SDJA’s future, and for all they have done to make this possible.
