Meet New Educational Specialist, Mrs. Watkins

Ellie Watkins is looking forward to joining the SDJA school community as an Education Specialist. She has been working in the area of Special Education for 20+ years and has an MS in Education (Special Education). She has a California Education Specialist Mild/Moderate Credential with the added Autism Authorization and a New Jersey Credential as an Elementary School Teacher. She has experience as both a teacher and school administrator in the field of Special Education (PreK-12).
Ellie is originally from New Jersey and relocated to California with her husband and three children in 1997. Her children are grown now. Matt and Ashley live in CA while Melissa and her husband Garret, with Charlotte her 18 month old granddaughter, live in New Jersey. In her spare time, Ellie enjoys golf, the beach, and music.
