Tzedakah, By Rachelle Jagolinzer, Director of Advancement
SDJA’s community of parents, grandparents, students, alumni, trustees, staff, and friends has demonstrated a steadfast devotion to, and pride in, the Academy – a sentiment I share wholeheartedly.
When I think about SDJA’s legacy, I think about its ethos – what so many of us refer to as “the SDJA difference.” It is ingrained in everything that we do as leaders and as educators, and when I think about the impact it has had, and the great work our graduates are doing all over the world, not only am I filled with immense pride, but I remember how important the SDJA difference really is.
Part of this difference is SDJA’s commitment to tzedakah. So many of you go above and beyond the call of duty to not only support the Academy, but to help strengthen it and ensure its future. You dedicate your time, energy, and talent, while also making meaningful financial contributions to better our school. Each and every one of you embodies the meaning and tradition of tzedakah, and for that we are immensely grateful – thank you.
Over the last week SDJA parents have been working together in a passionate effort to raise money through the Higher and Higher Parent Campaign to support SDJA. Each year, I am so moved by our parents’ enthusiasm to give back, and so proud of what they are able to accomplish when they work together. Thank you to all of our parents that have supported the campaign thus far. You make our important work possible.
The Parent Campaign ends tomorrow. If you haven’t made your gift to the campaign yet, we hope that you will. To make your gift online now, please visit: www.sdja.com/make-a-gift.
To thank all of you have made a gift to support SDJA, please join us for a Tacos and Tequila event on November 29. Please register by clicking here.
Thank you so much for your continued support!
