Expectations, By Chaim Heller, Head of School
Excellent schools don’t just “happen.” You need to have the right teachers in the classrooms, an uplifting, can-do spirit in the air and high expectations for all children so they can grow and live up to their fullest potential.
Excellent schools also set up clear expectations for all parts of the school community: Parents, teachers, administration, and of course, the students. To clarify those expectations, we will distribute “Expectations: SDJA,” a guide to what you and your children can expect from the school, and what the school can expect from you and your children. There will be a presentation of the document at the Back to School nights coming up this week and we look forward to sharing, in a straightforward manner, the ways in which we build our SDJA community with trust, appreciation, integrity and always keeping the child at the center of every decision, discussion and endeavor.
I look forward to seeing you at Back to School Night.
