Dear SDJA Families,

Welcome to the 2010-11 school year. We hope that you are having a wonderful summer and we look forward to meeting each and every one of you.

The PTO is made up of dedicated parents JUST LIKE YOU who volunteer their time to make sure our programs are well planned, fun and enriching for our children. Working on PTO projects offers an opportunity to get to know other parents and is a terrific way to integrate into the "School Family". Your children know when you are involved and they love to see you on the SDJA campus.

The PTO is responsible for raising funds that enable us to sponsor school wide assemblies, purchase equipment and needed supplies like cameras, computer equipment, playground equipment, books, musical instruments, and much more. The PTO also provides essential manpower to ensure that events throughout the year run smoothly and efficiently.

Below, you will find a comprehensive volunteer sign up sheet listing all of the PTO events and fundraisers, order forms for services and a master checklist. Please look over the forms carefully. We hope you will find activities that will interest you. Volunteering doesn't have to mean a huge time commitment. Whatever your time schedule allows, we have need of you. We have volunteer tasks that can be performed in the evenings, during the day or that don't even involve coming to school at all.

Please fill out the forms as soon as possible and return them to the school office attention SDJA-PTO Lower School. We need these forms by the first week of school.

We would like to thank all the parents who have volunteered to chair the various PTO events and who now need YOUR help and support to ensure the success of these committees.

We look forward to an exciting and rewarding year. Your continued help and support will make this another great year for our children. Thank you in advance for your support of the PTO.
