News from the Principal
Golda Meir Lower School Summer Reading
Each student entering grades 2 through 5 has one required summer reading
book. There is no book report or other project that needs to be done. We expect
all students to read the book during the summer. In the first weeks of school,
assignments will be based on the required reading. Students may read the book
independently or with an adult. The required reading for students entering each
grade is:
Grade 2: Mercy Watson to the Rescue by Kate DiCamillo
Grade 3: Muggie Maggie by Beverly Cleary
Grade 4: Please Write in This Book by Mary Amato
Grade 5: Rules by Cynthia Lord

Aug. 25: GMLS Back to School Night 6:30 - 7:30 pm
Aug. 27: Joint Kabbalat Shabbat K - 5, 2:30pm in the Ulam
Sep. 6: Labor Day - No School
