Helpful Hints to Expedite Your Application
  • Carefully read the descriptions of the positions in which you are interested and apply only for those jobs for which you meet the requirements
  • Make sure your resume gives complete, up-to-date information about your education, past employment and contact information including e-mail.
  • If the salary range for a position is listed in the posting, make sure that it meets your own salary requirements.
  • Submit your resume and allow 5 business days for your information to be reviewed before calling to discuss your candidacy.

Application Process
Review the open positions in the Current Openings section below. Once you have identified a position you would like to apply for, simply email a cover letter, resume, and any other documents required in the posting. Documents should be emailed directly to the individual listed as the contact for the open position. While email is the preferred method of communication, you may also use the postal service or a fax transmission if necessary.

Candidates chosen for an interview will be required to submit a completed SDJA employment application prior to the interview. Applications are provided during the interview process, or you may download the appropriate form by clicking on the links below.

Substitute Teacher

SDJA is continuously seeking substitute teachers to work with children in grades K-5. Applicants must have the ability to work on short notice. Bachelors or Post-Bachelors Degree required; State of CA Teaching Certificate and/or teaching experience preferred. If you have a teaching preference, please be sure to note it on your inquiry.
