The SDJA Difference

sdja difference ECCA Continuum of Care

SDJA’s preschool through 12th grade experience begins with our Early Childhood Center, offering children from six weeks to five years old an active environment that helps them develop cognitively, socially, and emotionally. SDJA’s ECC provides our “littlest lions” with a warm, nurturing, and inviting environment that helps them develop the building blocks of learning.

As children transition into kindergarten and beyond in our Golda Meir Lower School, our students are immersed in an environment that encourages critical thinking and exploration – placing your child on a path of growth and lifelong learning. Complementing core competencies through diversity of subject matter, our lower school offers students additional courses including art, instrumental and general music, drama, computers and programming, physical education, library activities, science, kosher cooking, and much more. With a pluralistic approach to Judaism, an integral part of the lower school experience includes both Hebrew language acquisition and an understanding of the richness of Jewish culture.

SDJA Difference MSA strong foundation in both academics and Judaic studies enables our students to easily integrate into the Maimonides Upper School. Starting with the sixth grade, upper school students encounter more than just an academically rigorous and transactional environment, but a transformational one, where your child will ultimately find his or her way. We understand that in order to truly engage and educate a child, we first need to understand him/her. By offering our students personalized attention, they develop relationships with their teachers, and in the same respect, teachers understand them. This fosters an innate sense of community at our school, which truly enhances your child’s education and social and emotional growth.

The result of SDJA’s approach ensures that graduates overwhelmingly are accepted to their first and second choice colleges, but more importantly they go on to live fulfilling lives of meaning and purpose.
